Ny VD – Tommy Johansson

In June, we at TURAB got a new face in management – ​​Tommy Johansson has stepped in as our new CEO here at the office in Nässjö.

Tommy most recently comes from ABENA AB, where he worked with business development, and brings with him solid experience from many different industries and companies, including BT/Toyota, Autoliv Electronics, Fredriksons Verkstad and Motala Verkstad.

With a strong focus on leadership, a holistic perspective and sustainable solutions, Tommy is looking forward to working in an industry of the future.

– It feels really exciting to be part of an industry that has such an important role in the energy system of the future. Electricity will become a scarce commodity as we switch to green energy – and then small-scale hydropower is a valuable piece of the puzzle. Anyone who already has, or gets permission to build, a hydropower plant has something really valuable in their hands, says Tommy.

Tommy takes over from Åse Esselius, who is now moving on to a new role in Gothenburg – but she is not leaving us completely. Åse will continue as a board member of TURAB, which we are very happy about.

– My years at TURAB have given me a new perspective and insights into an industry that is truly developing. I look forward to continuing to support the company in the board work, and know that Tommy – together with the team – will drive TURAB forward in an important time for hydropower, says Åse.
